 Footwear designer Manolo Blahnik has been named as the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award at The British Fashion Awards. It is the highest accolade at the ceremony, taking place next Tuesday, and is awarded by the British Fashion Council (BFC) to celebrate one designer who has made an impact on the global fashion industry. Mr Blahnik said: “To be recognised for doing something I love is really wonderful.” |

New Concept convinces the Sector
Preparations for GDS Select – Premium European Shoe Fair, to be held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center (SEC) from 17 to 19 April 2013, are in full swing. There has been a great response from the sector demonstrating not only that the design concept of GDS Select is promising but also that the timing and location are very advantageous for exhibitors and visitors. GDS Select goes hand in hand with the emerging trend in Asia and is well on the way to becoming a meeting point for international exhibitors and visitors. |

Next year’s CPM (Collection Première Moscow) will be the 20th edition of this trade fair platform. Another record participation is expected for the show days between 26 February and 1 March 2013. The CPM trade show was first organised by Igedo in the Expocentre halls in the heart of Moscow in September 2003. At the time, the small event was only organised on 9,800 m² in four exhibition halls. But the demand for exhibition space increased rapidly. |
