For the 2006 Spring/Summer season, this shoe manufacturer has once again identified three fashion themes that present the tried-and-trusted Betula footbed in an up-to-date, modern look. They are meant to show that good looks and comfortable standing and walking do nto represent any contradiction.  Projection, Daydream and Rhythm are the names of the three trends that form the centrepiece of the Collection.
Projection is the symbiosis of mature and the city, and is reflected in plant-like green shades mixed with the blue of the water and the sky as well as with skin shade. The age of the New Romantic, in the form of faded flowers and herbs, and the colour shades of sweet spices such as ginger and marzipan, form the second, poetic theme Daydream.  The last theme, Rhythm, draws as its main source of inspiration on the Caribbean and the musical tones of Afro-American culture. Dark earth and spice shades such as Mocha and Chocolate or the colours of exotic fruits flow into the Collection here.
 Many floral patterns have been put to good use this time, but also numerous new outer materials, die-cuts and buckles. There are shoes with a gold-and-silver look, buckles decorated with tiny stones, or leather with rivet appliqué. Well known, indeed classical, shoe shapes, on the other hand, can be found in new colours or designs, and even the footbed covering makes its appearance in fashionably appearing colour shades and prints.
