In the 11th TOP MODEL Competition main awards went to the exhibits of the firms Wendel CZ, Jiří Štrobl and Fare. The competiton on the occasion of the KABO Show is announced by the Czech Shoemakers’ and Tanners’ Association, a.s., BVV Trade Fairs Brno and the periodical TextilŽurnál. This time the Jury of Assessment chose from 44 footwear and leatherware exhibits entered for the competition by 17 exhibitors.
The Top Design Award was presented to the firm Wendel CZ, s.r.o., Brno for its all-leather ladies’ footwear which is flexible at heel and toe joints. As the Jury claimed, this street footwear combined comfort with a balanced aesthetic look. The Top Quality Award went to the firm Jiří Štrobl, Třebíč. The successful exhibit is a stylish ladies’ footwear for autumn and winter made of quality leather whose oiled and brushed material retains flexibility, strength and is airy. Top Innovation Award was presented to the firm Fare, spol. s r.o., Valašské Meziříčí, for its children’s all-year street footwear “Jeníček”. Quality workmanship and aesthetic design are underlined by a comeback of natural sole materials combining flexibility, softness and a higher utility value.
In addition to major awards which will be ceremonially presented at the Wednesday Fashion Show Party STYL KABO NIGHT, also three extraordinary awards were announced in the TOP MODEL Competition. A special appraisal by the server www.obuv.kuze.cz went to Consortium T+M, s.r.o., Blansko (men’s evening footwear of stylish colour and shape design), an honourable mention for quality to the firm D.P.K., spol. s r.o., Zlín (children’s all-year leather footwear meeting the demands for comfort and quality) and the firm BIBO shoe s.r.o., Písek was awarded for its innovation idea by another honourable mention (ladies’ winter footwear made of non-traditional materials).
