In the 12th competition for the best exhibits of the KABO Fair three main awards were granted – for design, quality and innovation. They were presented to the companies Konsorcium T+M, Fare and BIBO shoe. For the first time also the Prize of Jan Pivečko to the firm PEGRES – Ing. Petr Gřeš was granted.
Konsorcium T+M The TOP MODEL Competition is announced, on the occasion of the KABO Fair, by the Czech Association of Shoemakers and Tanners, BVV Trade Fairs Brno and the periodical TextilŽurnál. This time the Jury of Assessment chose from 41 exhibits of footwear and leatherware entered for the competition by 19 exhibitors.
The Top Design Award went to the firm Konsorcium T+M, s.r.o., Blansko for its ladies‘ evening footwear of a stylish shape, trend colour shades and a plastic effect of its leather surface treatment. FARE The Top Quality Award was presented to the firm Fare, s.r.o., Valašské Klobouky. The successful exhibit was the girl’s high boot “Janka” extending the quality offer in neglected girl’s footwear segment. The Jury of Assessment appreciated a perfect harmonic workmanship combining function with aesthetic design incl. detail quality.
Top Innovation Award went to the firm BIBO shoe s.r.o., Písek for its men’s all-leather outdoor shoes combining a “bold” design with function and comfort. As the Jury’s expert opinion claims, technically interesting are shoe inner-sole design, closed tongue and closing system enabling an optimal comfort during wear. BIBO Shoe In addition to main awards which will be ceremonially presented at a fashion-show party - STYL KABO COSMETICS NIGHT, also four special awards were announced in the TOP MODEL Competition. They were granted to the firms C&J CLARK POLSKA Sp. Z.oo (sports men’s footwear Polar Ice GTX), D.P.K., s.r.o. (children’s all-year outdoor footwear “Kormidlo”, BENZI – Dana Šťastná (a set of three suitcases) and WORTMANN ČR, s.r.o. (ladies’ shoes).
PEGRES For the first time also the Prize of Jan Pivečka was granted on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of establishing the Jan Pivečka Foundation which bears the name of a great fan and propagator of Czech footwear production. Professional shoemaker’s server www.obuv.kuze.cz presented this historically first award to the firm PEGRES – Ing. Petr Gřeš for its children’s outdoor winter footwear in three colour shades.
