As ever, the world’s two most important trade fairs for the sectors of machinery and technology for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industries will be held this year in Bologna, in conjunction with the autumn Lineapelle, from 12 to 14 October 2010.
In 2009, the two events focused on challenging the worldwide economic recession, the 2010 edition intends to further the “drive” to recovery with the presence of all the world’s leading manufacturers in the sector with fully functioning machinery. SIMAC & TANNING TECH have always been far more than a place of business encounters between machinery suppliers and international market demand providing opportunities for machinery and technology manufacturers to absorb and explore specific requests by their international clients. These exchanges have led to the constant development of applied technology and the “customisation” of machinery and systems, advanced technology that SIMAC & TANNING TECH exhibitors can interpret, offering themselves, as ever, as problem solvers at the service of the leather and footwear industry worldwide. The exhibitors at TANNING TECH offer mechanical and chemical solutions for the tanning sector that respond to the needs of the market and satisfy the aims of modern leather processing: technologically cutting-edge fashion articles; production that complies with the rules of sustainability for the environment and energy resources; the respect of eco-toxic criteria as required by international standards; and rationalised production costs and resource exploitation. In the footwear and leather-goods sector, the technology offered by exhibitors at SIMAC is notable for the variety and breadth of the range of solutions provided in response to the needs of every single phase of the production process, from the most important to the most unusual and minute, and whatever the manufacturing technique, from the simplest to the most complex, or material employed. The quality of machinery is perhaps less obvious than in a shoe or an elegant handbag but no less important. It is highlighted in the precision of the design and its mechanical creation, in the reliability and sturdiness of the components adopted (mechanical, pneumatic, oleodynamic, electronic), in the power and stability of the software, in the easy use of its systems and, last but not least, in the simple way several machines can dialogue with each other and with the design software in systems that are ever more complex and integrated. If, indeed, innovation is the greatest competitive tool for companies anxious to work on the world markets, for international footwear, leather-goods and tanning companies SIMAC & TANNING TECH are the perfect “Workshop” in which Technological Innovation can be expressed to the full.
