Expo Riva Schuh, the main international show dedicated to volume footwear, opens its doors for the 75th time from 15 to 18 January at Riva del Garda with presentation of new collections for autumn/winter 2011-2012. This four-day show will host 1,187 exhibitors, including approximately 70% foreigners from 38 countries, in 32,000 m² of exhibition space, inaugurating the trade fair season for the footwear sector.
Expo Riva Schuh is the first opportunity to view products for next year and this is just one of the reasons it maintains its natural international vocation”, explains Roberto Pellegrini, president of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi. “We are moving forward with everybody’s requirements in mind, from our nearest neighbour producers in Central Europe to exhibitors from Asia. This is especially important in view of our geographic collocation, at a crossroads for trade between countries in the East and Northern Europe”. This event, housed in the trade fair complex, the Palacongressi congress centre and hotels in Riva del Garda, is also the last chance on the calendar for those interested in restocking or in new models from the spring/summer 2011 collection. “Our strength lies in the fact that we understand the needs of exhibitors and visitors, making Expo Riva Schuh the location where supply and demand meet up”, explains Brigitta Bancher, event manager. “From this point of view, the “Quick Producer” initiative meets the needs of buyers interested in fast collections and restocking for the upcoming warmer season and also takes sellers’ interests into account. Thanks to these late sales, the latter manage to lengthen the life of their products and gain useful feedback for collections still at the design stage”. In line with its international vocation, this year the fair sees the addition of a conference entitled A look at opportunities on the Indian market, scheduled for 8.15 am on 16 and 18 January in the Convention Room (Sala Convegni). This will analyse the Indian footwear market in the run up to the new event organised for the end of July by Expo Riva Schuh in India (New Delhi). “The Expo Riva Schuh internationalisation programme is looking to new markets with projects that match the prospects of companies and buyers”, finishes Giovanni Laezza, director of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi. “The service we offer is our interpretation of an evolving fair that does not stop at national borders”. Inauguration of the fair is at 11.00 am on Saturday 15 January. (15/1/2011) |
