Madrid, 28th February 2012 - Modacalzado+Iberpiel, the International Footwear and Leather Goods Fair, which is due to stage its next edition between 11th and 13th March in Halls 12 and 14 at Feria de Madrid, continues to recruit new exhibitors. In this respect, over the last month the fair has received a considerable boost with the incorporation of more than 60 firms, many of which will be taking part in the event for the first time. This favourable development strengthens the fair's appeal as a grand business forum for the footwear and leather goods industry in Spain.
More than 60 brands have joined Modacalzado+Iberpiel over the last month A number of leading firms of the stature of Desigual, Luis Onofre, Estefanía Marco, Atlanta Mocasín, Satchelbag, Marco Tozzi, Chocolat D'or and Flavio Menorca, among others, have chosen this fair to promote their collections.
Organised by IFEMA, the fair takes place from 11th to 13th March at Feria de Madrid Among the latest incorporations, we might highlight the company, Desigual, which, ever faithful to its brand philosophy (fun, fresh and authentic) has chosen to attend Modacalzado+Iberpiel in order to present its new women's footwear collection for Autumn/Winter 2012/2013, including the DESIGUAL L Line designed by Monsieur C. Lacroix. We should also mention the brands that participate for the first time at the fair such as Cosmopolitan, Jet7, Be-Two or Arche (France); Lise Lindvig and Store & Marie, (Denmark), Satchelbag (Spain) or Chocolate Negro (Portugal), a new firm aimed at a woman who sees the shoes as a must-have fashion accessory. Over the last month, various footwear and accessory brands have renewed their trust in the fair by confirming their participation at the next edition. This is the case for Chocolat D’or, Carmen Paya and Boanda (Alicante); Luis Onofre (Portugal); Membur (Granada); Sancho Boots, Lorens-Antonio López and John Spencer (Albacete); Saga Ibáñez (Zaragoza); DCM Argentona (Barcelona) – with US Polo and Slang brands -. Two weeks before its 29th edition, the an event organised by IFEMA in collaboration with the Footwear Industries Federation (FICE) and the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Leather Goods, Travel Items and Related Products (ASEFMA) features very similar commercialization figures to those recorded at the last edition. In total, the fair is expected to bring together more than 600 brands that will present the new footwear and leather articles collections for the Autumn-Winter 12/13 season. Furthermore, staged to coincide with the trade exhibition, the IDEASLAB space will offer a comprehensive programme of activities which will tackle a number of topical issues of considerable interest to the industry and its professionals.
