GDS Select – Preparations in Full Swing |
New Concept convinces the Sector Preparations for GDS Select – Premium European Shoe Fair, to be held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center (SEC) from 17 to 19 April 2013, are in full swing. There has been a great response from the sector demonstrating not only that the design concept of GDS Select is promising but also that the timing and location are very advantageous for exhibitors and visitors. GDS Select goes hand in hand with the emerging trend in Asia and is well on the way to becoming a meeting point for international exhibitors and visitors.
Right in time for the highpoint of preparations GDS Select has redesigned its online presence. From 12 November it has had a new look presented at www.gds-select.com. The aim of the new website is to make more extensive information available to interested exhibitors and visitors. Check-in data, partnership details and general show information are to be made easier to access. In addition to the latest news, in future, press releases and other services will also be available here for the international trade audience.
As a special show for select international brands the debut event GDS Select will be held in its own pavilion as a fair in its own right alongside the China International Footwear & Leathergoods Exhibition which presents 250 brands. Both trade fairs are open solely to trade visitors from fashion retail and industry. Benefitting from the great sectoral knowledge and experience of Messe Düsseldorf, organiser of GDS – international event for shoes & accessories – and GLOBAL SHOES – leading trade show for sourcing, GDS Select offers a total of over 70 brands a platform for presenting their collections to some 7,000 visitors in the stylish exhibition setting of the SEC. As part of the fair renowned and innovative creations will be staged in design competitions while topics like fashion and commerce will be discussed by experts in seminars and lectures. At the fair the CCAGM – China Commerce Association for General Merchandise – will invite some 1,000 buyers from major department stores from throughout China to a summit for the shoe sector. A further highlight will be the concurrent Shanghai Fashion Week. Messe Düsseldorf and Messe Düsseldorf China has been able to enlist expert partners for GDS Select. The top association CCAGM boasts an excellent network in segments like trade fairs, exhibitors and events with more than 800 of the most important shopping centres and department stores in China.
