Superb feedback by the international trade visitors – Many compliments for the new hall areas. A good atmosphere and in every respect a positive evaluation – this describes today’s close of the three-day International Leather Goods Fair in Offenbach, the 138th of its kind.
261 companies from 16 countries presented from March 9 to 11 on the fairgrounds of the Messe Offenbach what is trendsetting in respect of leather accessories in the coming autumn/winter season. The exhibition program of the I.L.M Winter Styles comprised the latest fashionable bag collections, among them a variety of international lifestyle- and designer labels, market-strong young fashion products as well as new trend collections with small leather goods, travel- and leisure bags, business- and school articles, umbrellas, gloves, belts, and other fashion accessories. 5,900 visitors at the I.L.M Winter Styles 2013 exceeded the expectations of the Messegesellschaft and the visiting numbers of the corresponding fair last year by about 2%. This positive development derives from an increase of foreign visits, which more than compensated a slight drop in the number of inland visitors. This year, too, the purchasing teams from more than 40 countries were our guests in the fair halls of the Kaiserstrasse. Both exhibitors and visitors positively commented the result of the just in time finished new exhibition spaces in the entrance area and the completely new-built fair hall C1. The trade visitors, as usual, responded with a big interest to the frame program events of the I.L.M. In this respect particular attention has been payed to the trend- and fashion inspirations just like the daily fashion shows IMPRESSIVE and EXPRESSIVE that could very well be used as source of inspiration for the dispositions. The new collections exhibited at the I.L.M Winter Styles will be available in the shops for the consumers as of August/September. Next up on the agenda for the specialized buyers of leather goods is the I.L.M Summer Styles, September 21 – 23, 2013 with the presentation of the fashion musts and novelties for Spring/Summer 2014.
