The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) will run from 4 - 6 September 2013 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Pudong, Shanghai. The annual fair brings together important leather industry players from China and the rest of the world. First held in 1998, the demand for exhibition space in ACLE has always been intense.
In its first few years, the exhibition had to keep moving to ever larger venues to accommodate the growing demand for space from Chinese and international companies alike. This situation is largely unchanged for the September show which will have 10% more exhibition space than the 80,500 sqm in 2012. Ms. Josephine Lee, APLF Project Manager for ACLE, confirmed that, with still 3 months to go before the fair, Halls E1 (leather), E2 (leather and chemicals) and E3 (chemicals, synthetics and components) are almost fully booked. Ms. Lee also noted that there will be 19 country pavilions in the September fair, including that of the Leather Industries of America which is joining the fair for the first time. Ms. Lee added that the German pavilion space has been increased by 13% to 500 sqm while the Turkish pavilion increased by 22% to 2,500 sqm. The success of the past 15 years has earned ACLE the reputation as China’s premier leather industry event. It’s continued popularity stems in great part from its coverage of all aspects of the leather industry supply chain. Exhibits range from raw hides and skins and finished leathers to tanning machinery and tools, chemicals and leather-related services. At ACLE, exhibitors, particularly tanneries, find themselves in a rather unique position of promoting and selling their products while at the same time having the opportunity to source and buy from fellow exhibitors. This makes ACLE the ideal platform for the business of leather. The collocated China International Footwear Fair and Moda Shanghai fairs also provide a good source of buyers for ACLE. These two events, both primarily for exhibitors of Chinese footwear, leather goods and garments, run concurrently and in the same venue as ACLE. Most leading Chinese shoe manufacturers are represented at CIFF, while high-end bags, garments and fashion accessories manufacturers and brands exhibit under the Moda Shanghai banner. An integral part of ACLE are its comprehensive programme of workshops, seminars, lectures, product demonstrations, etc. Up-to-the-minute details for ACLE, CIFF/Moda SHANGHAI can be found on the events’ web sites which can all be accessed through www.aplf.com. Notes to editors About All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) The All China Leather Exhibition is generally accepted as the premier event for international companies seeking opportunities in China’s huge and, still under-supplied, market. With some 15 years experience no other event in the China leather sector provides a comparable opportunity for overseas companies to meet and greet, face-to-face, with potential Chinese partners, customers and suppliers. Held annually in Shanghai, in early autumn, ACLE provides the largest variety of leather, components and accessories, manufacturing equipment, tools, machinery, technology, and business services.
In 2012, 1,119 exhibitors from 41 countries and regions, were present. The forthcoming 2012 event is on track to improve further upon these numbers. APLF’s partner in this prestigious event is China’s only official recognised leather sector organisation, the China Leather Industry Association. The exhibition runs concurrently with CIFF and Moda Shanghai. Registered visitors can enter 3 exhibitions and attend all the conference, seminars, and attractions - visit www.aclechina.com for more information.
