Cleto Sagripanti, president of Assocalzaturifici, is to be the new president of the Confindustria member FIAMP, the Italian Federation for Personal and Fashion Accessories, for the 2013/2015 two-year period. ...Mr. Sagripanti has taken over the helm from Cirillo Marcolin with the aim of representing the associations connected with the world of accessories and promoting their role in the fashion industry. “My mandate,” says Cleto Sagripanti, “following on the excellent work carried out by my friend Cirillo Marcolin, will focus on strengthening the ties between the city of Milan, the trade fairs representing our associations, and the leading fashion players. I am firmly convinced that our exhibitions are an important element of Milan’s fashion industry, and a fundamental vehicle for attracting thousands of international buyers to the city. I intend to work hard to promote this role and create concrete links with the political forces, with businesses and designers, with traders, and with the media, so as to highlight the important role played by accessories in the Milan fashion scene.” The new president will be flanked by the Director of Assocalzaturifici, Fabio Aromatici, who will take on the role of general secretary of the Federation, and by Cirillo Marcolin, who will continue to serve in his new capacity as vice president.
