The Riva del Garda event and the opportunities for big chains and little shops Expo Riva Schuh, the Riva del Garda event which has become the point of reference at international level for the volume footwear sector, hasn’t lost its magic touch! It is still considered a great chance for both companies and operators to look beyond this difficult moment in time,...
...despite the crisis that has hit everyone hard, the public who have remained loyal to this event being no exception. Expo Riva Schuh offers a great opportunity to breathe new life into the world of footwear distribution and is a place where concrete solutions can be found and new commercial strategies developed. Taking the case of retailers, for example, who have the chance at Riva del Garda to update their commercial offerings with targeted collections and also to plan their repeat business, which is less of a commitment and more sustainable from an economic point of view. An important option, considering that the world of retail is one of those that has suffered the most, given the drop in spending and the overall economic climate. The number of retail outlets has fallen significantly, and at the same time, those businesses that have managed to stay open are going through a worrying period. However, the solutions offered by Expo Riva Schuh don’t stop here: the international element, which has always formed an integral part of the event’s DNA, offers those working in the sector an opportunity to put together the right mix of varied products, with something for every type of purchase and consumer. And also for every budget. On the other hand, the traditional target of Expo Riva Schuh, made up of the large European distribution chains, continues to benefit from this prime slot - being the very first fair of the season, enabling them to plan their purchases well ahead. It is this early-bird timing that has always been a key feature of Expo Riva Schuh, and which continues to be a great asset and strategically important in responding to the demands of the market and its operators. Equally important is the growing attention on the part of the big European on-line retailers, who are able to find a wide selection at various levels, as well the means to plan their buying and range revision activities. And so, Expo Riva Schuh is already getting in shape ready for the 81st edition, which will take place from January 11th to 14th 2014 in the Congress Centre, various hotels and the exhibition centre of Riva del Garda. Previews of the footwear collections for Autumn/Winter 2014/2015 will be on show. This event, which, as of last June, is also able to boast a new exhibition area within Hall C3, hosts around 1,200 exhibitors at every edition, 70% of whom are international, occupying a net surface area of about 32,000 square meters.
