Practical guidelines will be given on how to develop footwear products from design to production and finally post production in order to achieve best quality, high productivity and cost effectiveness. The topic of environmentally sustainable manufacturing will also be addressed during the workshop. The workshop will start with a 2 hour presentation by Michal followed by an hour discussion. Speaker Profile: Michal is an expert in the footwear and material technology sector with over 35 years worldwide experience. Currently, he is a footwear industry consultant for countries including China, India, Russia, EU countries, Saudi Arabia, Kenya and Ethiopia, educating the local industry bodies and helping them to expand their footwear industry. Prior to this, Michal has held senior positions with ISC Germany and has led several International research projects focused on shoes with special properties. (11/03/2014) |
