...towards product design is growing While preparations are in full flow for the 82nd edition, due to take place in June, Expo Riva Schuh has noted a constantly increasing trend over the last few editions of the fair: exhibitors and visitors alike pay an ever increasing amount of attention to the research & design aspects of footwear, two elements which, these days, are considered indispensable if you are to effectively complete in the world markets.
During the last edition of Expo Riva Schuh, many companies expressed their interest in wanting to follow this route. Some have focused everything on technology, such as the Indian company Wasans, which presented an exclusive technique for personalising footwear by using the same type of machine as used for tattooing. Then there was the City Sport Wear brand, with its hyper-techniques capable of resisting both water and low temperatures as low as –50°. Others, meanwhile, have developed their product design by working on shapes, such as the example shown with geometric heels by Stéphanie Classic, or by the use of colour, with a re-interpretation of the rock look in classic black and white of Parklane. As always, this is the first appointment in the international fair calendar and is a great chance to see a preview of the collections and seasonal trends. Expo Riva Schuh is also the international show case these days for innovation and the most original products. The dates on which you can come and discover all the latest on offer for Spring/Summer 2015 are from June 14th to 17th in Riva del Garda.
