Craft and technology The international exhibition of machinery and technologies for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industries at the Milan Rho Fair is scheduled to run from 25 to 27 February. “We’re just a few days away from the next Simac Tanning Tech exhibition in Milan. And we can’t wait to show the world this year’s whole new exhibition,” enthuses Amilcare Baccini, CEO of Simac Tanning Tech. „We’ve had a complete facelift,...
...and can now offer exhibitors and visitors alike a whole new fair, full of smart technologies to guarantee you a better, more productive expo experience. This is where Italy’s internationally-acknowledged expertise in traditional crafts meets cutting-edge technologies, presented by world-beating companies who dominate the scene at Simac Tanning Tech”. The next SIMAC TANNING TECH event, scheduled to run from 25 to 27 February 2015 in pavilions 14 / 18 at the Milan Rho Fair together with Lineapelle, promises to be a record-breaking event, with a significant number of exhibitors and visitors. 270 exhibitors from 16 different countries have confirmed their participation, as have 130 official delegates from thirty countries. And this year’s exhibition is bigger too, covering over 14,500 square metres, 20% more floor space than at last year’s event. New features this year include “The Leather Square”, a “piazza” dedicated to providing a very special exhibition experience. An ample Lounge Area will give visitors a chance to relax from their hectic exhibition schedule, while a special space has been reserved for ICE, the Italian Trade Agency promoting the internationalisation of Italian companies. Then there is the “Factory Lab” with fully working machinery, a space dedicated to helping developing countries industrialise through international cooperation projects sponsored by PISIE, the industrial and economic NGO supported by Assomac. “The Leather Square” also hosts a space set up by a leading supplier of chemicals to the tanning industry, with a working tanning machine from yesteryear and original tanned leather from the 1940s made using the natural techniques applied 70 years ago. With its move to Milan Simac Tanning Tech has concentrated on providing better services to exhibitors and buyers, making it easier to reach the venue and move around the exhibition itself. Visitors will be able to use free Wi-Fi within the pavilions and benefit from our brand-new My Fair service, presented on www.simactanningtech.it. Thanks to interactive maps you can customize your visit in advance, creating a path through the various pavilions and deciding which companies you want to visit before you even set foot in the exhibition centre.
