meets expectations and receives 5% more professional visitors The Organising Commitee, which met during the fair, has set the dates for both 2018 editions of MOMAD Shoes. The first will take place from 2 to 4 March and the second will take place from 7 to 9 September. The fourth edition of MOMAD Shoes, International Footwear and Accessories Trade Show has now closed its doors.
It took place from 22 to 24 September at halls 4 and 6 of IFEMA and received 5,097 accredited visitors, 5% more than at last September's edition. 9.7% of visitors were foreign professionals. There was a strong presence by buyers from Portugal (33.4%), France (8.4%) and Italy (3.9%), as well as from Mexico, Colombia, and Chile, as part of the international buyers programme, organised by MOMAD Shoes. MOMAD director Jaime de la Figuera took a positive view of the data and asserted that the expectations set for this edition were met. “The data are reasonably favourable and allow us to gain momentum to keep going and work on bolstering the presence of exhibitors and brands at the fifth edition,” said de la Figuera.
For FICE [Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries] president José Monzonís, too, the results were good. “The footwear industry and IFEMA have already begun working on the March 2018 edition, with the main objective of implementing new ideas and working on the improvements needed to make retail attractive."
2018 dates set The MOMAD Organising Committee, which met during the trade show, has already set the dates for the 2018 editions of MOMAD Shoes. The first edition will take place from 2 to 4 March, and the second will take place from 7 to 9 September, at IFEMA-Feria de Madrid. The September edition's dates were chosen to take advantage of synergies with other MOMAD projects organised by IFEMA.
Another of the new developments for next year that were presented to the Momad Shoes Organising Committee is a new conceptual stand model that is more attractive and better suited to the industry's needs. It includes improvements like LED lighting for more even lighting of the products on display.
The fourth edition of Momad Shoes, organised by IFEMA, took place from 22 to 24 September at halls 4 and 6 of Feria de Madrid. A total of 220 exhibitors and 400 brands displayed their Spring-Summer 2018 collections over 8,400 net square metres of exhibition space. (05/10/2017) |
