ILM brings dates of fair forward |
 The International Leather Goods Fair ILM has moved the date of ILM Winter Styles 2019 forward by three weeks. The fair will take place in Offenbach from 16 to 18 February 2019. Managing director, Arnd Hinrich Kappe, stressed that this was "a one-off gesture to accommodate the still relatively young Düsseldorf Shoe Fair."
The ownership structure of Messe Offenbach makes it possible to alter the dates and focus of fairs quickly and flexibly in line with the needs of the industry. Basically, Kappe commented: "We are in the fortunate position of being able to decide for ourselves without referring back to any third parties".
It's all about visitors The date in Spring 2019 is primarily being changed to avoid any overlaps and to enable visitors to the ILM, many of whom are footwear dealers, to arrange their trade fair visits as comfortably as possible. "Our main concern is to find the best possible date for visitors - and this also means, of course, in close consultation with the most important events for the industry in Germany and abroad," explained Kappe.
The ILM Summer Styles 2018 will still be held from 1 to 3 September 2018. From 2020, the ILM will again be held on the usual dates at the beginning of March and beginning of September.
